S.L. 262.4 Art. 2Designation of places as hospital. Cap. 262.

(1) The Gozo General Hospital is being designated as a hospital for the purposes of article 2(1) of the Mental Health Act.

(2) Male Ward 6 and Female Ward 3 of Mount Carmel Hospital shall no longer form part of the said hospital and shall henceforth be a residential home for mentally disordered persons.

(3) The St Joseph Male Ward 8, St Joseph Female Ward 7, John Paul II Female Ward I and John Paul II Male Ward 2 at St. Vincent De Paule Residence are being designated as a mental nursing home for the purposes of the definition in article 2(1) of the Mental Health Act and the provisions of the same Act shall mutatis mutandis apply to the said wards.
