Cap. 13 Art. 308Lien or privilege extends to average and other charges. Cap. 16.

(1) The special lien or privilege which, under the provisions of paragraph (c) of article 2009 of the Civil Code, is competent to the person letting the vessel or the master for the payment of the freight, extends also to average contributions and other charges.

(2) Such lien or privilege, however, both in regard to the amount of freight, and to the average and other charges, ceases on the expiration of fifteen days from the day of the delivery of the goods, notwithstanding that such goods may have not yet passed into the hands of third parties.
