Cap. 16 Art. 886Pending inventory, heir is considered as curator of inheritance.

(1) During the continuance of the time allowed for making up the inventory and for deliberating, the person entitled to succeed is not bound to assume the status of heir.

(2) Nevertheless, such person shall be considered as curator de of the inheritance, and, as such, he may be sued as representing jure the inheritance to answer claims brought against it.

(3) If such person fails to appear, the court shall appoint a curator to represent the inheritance in the proceedings.
