Terms of use

These terms govern the use of LAWxPERT (the website mylawxpert.com and the application app.mylawxpert.com).

1. The service

The free plan gives access to the library of legal texts. The paid plan gives access to case analysis, strategy, draft documents and checks. The service is a tool for analysis and preparation; it is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

2. Account and keys

You keep the password and the recovery key secret. Case data is encrypted with a key that only they open: if you lose both, nobody can recover the data.

3. Artificial intelligence

Analyses are produced with artificial intelligence models and can contain errors. Quotes are checked automatically against the documents and the official texts, but the final judgement is yours; check important steps with a lawyer.

4. Acceptable use

Upload only documents you are entitled to process. Use for unlawful purposes, harassment or infringing the rights of others is prohibited, as is any attempt to break the security of the service.

5. Legal texts

The library reproduces official publications. Only the official text is authentic; where they differ, it prevails.

6. Liability

The operator's liability is limited to the extent the law permits. It is not excluded for intent, gross negligence or where the law forbids a limitation, including consumer rights under the Belgian Code of Economic Law.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time. If these terms are breached, access can be suspended after notice and a reasoned decision.

8. Changes

Substantial changes to the terms are announced in advance in the application.

9. Applicable law

Belgian law applies. As a consumer you keep the protection of the law of your country of residence and the right to sue there. In other cases the courts of Liège have jurisdiction.
