Cap. 16 Art. 546Possessionofthing obtainedbytheftor other offence.

Any person who shall have obtained possession of the thing by theft or any other offence, not being a mere contravention, shall not be entitled to any indemnity for any kind of expenses, or to remove any meliorations made on the thing; and he may be compelled by the owner to remove at his expense, and without any right to indemnity, such objects as may be removed, and also to make good any damage which the owner may have suffered.
