Cap. 16 Art. 224Cases where absolute possession takes place.

The provisions of the last preceding article, or, as the case may be, the declaration of the opening of the succession may also take place, even though no curator shall have been appointed, nor provisional possession granted as provided in the preceding two sub-titles, in each of the following cases:

(a) if one hundred years since the birth of the absentee, and at least one year since the last news of him, shall have elapsed;

(b) if eighty years since the birth of the absentee, and at least six years since the last news of him, shall have elapsed.
