Where the decision relates to acts which were not carried out within the territory of the issuing State and refers to acts which fall within the jurisdiction of the Maltese criminal courts, the

Attorney General may direct the Registrar of Courts to apply to the court requesting the reduction of the amount of the financial penalty to the maximum amount provided for such acts under Maltese law.
