Cap. 16 Art. 997Where a movable thing is promised, by successive agreements, to two or more persons.
Sub-title I
Where the thing which a person has by successive agreements undertaken to give or deliver to two or more persons is movable by nature, or a document of title payable to bearer, the person to whom the thing is delivered, and who obtains it in good faith, shall have a prior right over the other or others and shall be entitled to retain it, even though his title is subsequent in date.
