Cap. 16 Art. 653Separation of subject of legacy.
Sub-title I
(1) Where the legacy subject to abatement is a thing from which the part exceeding the disposable portion can conveniently and without being injuriously affected be separated, the abatement shall be effected by means of such separation.
(2) Where, however, such separation cannot conveniently and without injury be effected, it shall be lawful for the legatee to pay in cash the amount due by him to the party claiming the abatement.
