Cap. 16 Art. 277Dutiesofofficer,in default of any one of the parents.

(1) In default of any one of the parents of the child, or if no notice has been given, the said officer shall require any person whom he believes to have knowledge of the particulars required for the drawing up of the act, to attend in order to make the declaration concerning such particulars.

(2) The same shall apply where the said officer is not satisfied as to the correctness of the particulars given to him by any one of the parents or any other person, or contained in the certificate mentioned in article 273.
