Cap. 16 Art. 2097Effects of benefit.

The effect of the aforesaid benefit in favour of those entitled to it is only that of protecting them against any prejudice which they might sustain in regard to the property of the inheritance in consequence of the claims of the particular creditors of the heir; and such benefit maintains in favour of all and each of them, in competition, such rights only as are competent to them respectively, according to the nature and the conditions of their debts or other rights over the property of the inheritance.
