Sub-title VII
Privileges and hypothecs are extinguished -
(a) by the extinguishment of the principal obligation;
(b) by the creditor’s renunciation of the privilege or hypothec;
(c) by the fulfilment of the formalities prescribed in Title II of Part II of Book Second of the Code of
Organization and Civil Procedure;
(d) by prescription.
