Cap. 16 Art. 2053Renewal of registration of privileges and hypothecs.

(1) The registration of a privilege or hypothec in the Public Registry shall cease to have effect after thirty years from the date thereof unless such registration is renewed before the expiration of the said time.

(2) The registration of a legal hypothec in favour of the wife or of any person subject to tutorship or curatorship shall be exempt from renewal until one year after the dissolution of the marriage or the cessation of the administration.
