Cap. 16 Art. 1981Use of pledge without debtor’s consent to be deemed abuse.

The use of the thing pledged made by the creditor without the consent of the debtor shall be deemed to be an abuse thereof, and the creditor shall be liable to the consequences mentioned in article 1978, and shall, moreover, be bound to make the appropriation referred to in article 1977, if he has derived any advantage from such use.
