Cap. 16 Art. 1957Where merger takes place in the person of the debtor and his surety.
Sub-title IV
The merger which takes place in the person of the principal debtor and his surety, when the one becomes the heir of the other, shall not operate so as to extinguish the right of action of the creditor against the person who has become surety for the surety.
