Cap. 16 Art. 1711When not subject to attachment.

(1) It cannot be stipulated that a life annuity shall not be subject to attachment in pursuance of a garnishee order, unless it is created under a gratuitous title, whether by an act or by inter vivos a will.

(2) Where the annuity is so created under a gratuitous title, it may be stipulated that it cannot be alienated or sold.
