Cap. 16 Art. 1548Lesseetosufferthe executionofurgent repairs.

(1) If, during the continuance of the lease, the tenement let requires urgent repairs which cannot be delayed until the expiration of the lease, the lessee is bound to suffer the execution of such repairs, whatever the inconvenience caused to him thereby, even though, during such execution, he may be deprived of a part of the tenement.

(2) Nevertheless, if the execution of such repairs takes more than forty days, the rent shall be abated in proportion to the time and to the part of the tenement of which the lessee is deprived.
