Cap. 16 Art. 1477Solvency of debtor not included in warranty unless stipulated.

(1) The assignor is not answerable for the solvency, whether present or future, of the debtor, unless he has expressly bound himself thereto, either by declaring the debt good and collectable or by other words to that effect.

(2) If the assignor has promised such warranty, he shall be bound only to the extent of the price of the assignment.
