Cap. 16 Art. 1152To whom payment must be made.

(1) Payment must be made to the creditor, or to a person authorized by him, or by the court or by law, to receive it.

(2) A payment made to a person not so authorized becomes valid if the creditor ratifies it or benefits thereby.
