S.L. 587.1 Art. 3Appeals Committee.

(1) There shall be established an Appeals Committee to be known as the Appeals Committee for the Psychotherapy Profession in Malta, which shall be composed as follows:

(a) two (2) members appointed by the Minister of whom:

(i) one (1) member shall be a warranted and practicing lawyer, who shall act as the Chairperson of the Appeals Committee;

(ii) another (1) member shall be a warranted psychotherapist; and

(b) one (1) member who shall be a warranted psychotheraptist in the modality denoted in the appellant’s application, appointed on an basis by ad hoc the Chairperson of the Appeals Committee.

(2) The two (2) members of the Appeals Committee appointed by the Minister, shall be so appointed for a term of three (3) years and may be re-appointed or re-elected for a further term of three

(3) years.

(3) The Minister shall appoint a person to act as Secretary to the Appeals Committee, who shall have the duty of receiving appeals, (PSYCHOTHERAPY PROFESSION)

keep minutes and assume such other duties as the President of the Appeals Committee may delegate.
