(1) In the cases referred to in regulation 13(3), regulation 15(2) and regulation 16(4), the data subject may also exercise his rights through the Commissioner.

(2) The controller shall inform the data subject of the possibility of exercising his rights through the Commissioner pursuant to sub-regulation (1).

(3) Where the right referred to in sub-regulation (1) is exercised, the Commissioner shall inform the data subject at least that all necessary verifications or a review by the Commissioner has taken place. The Commissioner shall also inform the data subject of his right FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE PREVENTION, INVESTIGATION, DETECTION OR PROSECUTION OF CRIMINAL OFFENCES OR THE

EXECUTION OF CRIMINAL PENALTIES to seek a judicial remedy.
