S.L. 546.4 Art. 7Sharing of data pertaining to post codes.  Cap. 418.

(1) The postal services provider, as mandated by the authority responsible for the regulation of communications established by the Malta Communications Authority Act to maintain the national list of post codes for Malta, shall be required to participate and assist the Registrar in the maintenance of the address records, and to provide good quality data in the format as shall be established by the Registrar, from time to time.

(2) The data shall be made available immediately upon:

(a) any amendment to the list of post codes; or

(b) upon the creation of a new address by the Registrar.

(3) The purpose of the sharing of this data is to establish the link between a post code and a door number or a building entry point.

(4) The data requested by the Registrar shall be shared by the entities concerned with the Registrar without any costs incurred by the Registrar, within reasonable time-frames as established by the Registrar.
