(1) Parties to mediation may select a mediator by mutual consent. In the case where both parties or any one of the parties do not agree, they shall, within fifteen (15) days from the date of notification, apply to the Registrar for the appointment of a mediator in accordance to article 19 of the Mediation Act.

(2) In the case where the parties or none of the parties fail to communicate their request for the appointment of a mediator to the Registrar, the Registrar shall forthwith, and after the period established in sub-regulation (1) proceed to nominate a mediator in accordance to article 20 of the Mediation Act.

(3) Where the parties select a mediator by mutual consent or the mediator is chosen in accordance to article 20 of the Mediation

Act, the fees due to such mediator shall be a charge to the Centre, in accordance to the Mediation Act (Tariff of Fees) Regulations.
