In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Act" means the Equality for Men and Women Act;

"Authority" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in article 2 of the Malta Financial Services Authority Act;

"Commission" means the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality for Men and Women appointed in accordance with article 11 of the Act and includes any officer of the Commission duly authorised by it to act on its behalf for any specific purpose under the Act;

"Directive" means Directive (EU) 2022/2381 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on improving the gender balance among directors of listed companies and related measures;

"listed company" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in article 2(1) of the Financial Markets Act.
