(1) The plans for accelerating the eradication of Salmonella in Malta shall be those laid down in the Schedule. These should be read together with EC Regulation 2160/2003, EC Regulation 1168/2006, EC Regulation (EC) 1177/2006 and EC Regulation 646/2007, and any amendments and new relative regulation thereto; the provisions of the said Regulations shall be directly applicable.

(2) The Director shall order the culling of poultry infected with Salmonella and instruct producers as to the procedure to be undertaken for such culling or recovery.
