The provisions of the Work Places (Hoists and Lifts)

Regulations shall continue to apply as follows:

(a) for new lifts installed in a workplace, regulation 3(2)

of the said regulations shall continue to apply until 1st January, 2008;

(b) for existing lifts installed in a workplace, regulation 3(2) of the said regulations shall apply until 31st December, 2008, but shall continue to apply to all other machinery to which such regulations apply.
