In these Bye-Laws, unless the context otherwise requires:-

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"the applicant" means that person who applies to the Local Council under the provisions of bye-law 3.1;

"the Council" means the Imdina (Città Nobile) Local Council;

"furniture" means any benches or any other furniture movable or immovable;

"open public places" mean any public pavements in the locality and in public places, including pavements, squares, gardens and the ditch.
