Cap. 455 Art. 20Directorateswithin SportMalta.

(1) SportMalta may, with the concurrence of the Minister, establish separate directorates within SportMalta for the purpose of ensuring the better performance by SportMalta of any or all of its functions. Such directorates shall be accountable to SportMalta and shall be subject to the overall supervision and control of the Chief Executive Officer. Each of any such directorates shall be headed by a person appointed by SportMalta with the concurrence of the Minister for a period not exceeding three years and such period may be extended for further periods not exceeding three years each.

(2) SportMalta may delegate to such directorates and require them to perform such of its functions under such conditions as SportMalta may deem appropriate. SportMalta may at any time withdraw, in whole or in part, any such delegation of functions.

(3) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this article and to any rules made from time to time by SportMalta, the directorates may regulate their own proceedings.
