(1) In order to prevent trade patterns from being disrupted, the Directorate shall determine whether forest reproductive material produced in third countries referred to in Commission

Decision 2008/989/EC affords the same guarantees as regards the approval of its basic material and the measures taken for its production, with a view to marketing as in the case of forest reproductive material produced within the European Union and which complies with the provisions of these regulations.

(2) The provisions contained in Council Decision 2008/971/EC on the equivalence of forest reproductive material produced in third countries, as amended by Decision No 1104/2012/EU, shall apply in case of third countries referred to in such Decision.
