S.L. 623.9 Art. 6Establishment of the Committee. 

(1) There shall be established a Construction Industry

Licensing Committee, which shall be appointed by the Minister, after consultation with the Board.

(2) The Committee shall be composed of not less than five

(5) members and not more than eleven (11) members who shall have substantial knowledge and experience on matters related to the building and construction industry, legal affairs or other subjects related to the construction industry, one (1) of which shall be the Chairperson:

Provided that two (2) members shall be a warranted perit and a engineer respectively, both of whom have practiced their respective profession for at least ten (10) years:

Provided further that the Minister may designate one of the other members as Deputy Chairperson, and the member so designated shall have all the powers and perform all the functions of the Chairperson during the Chairperson’s temporary absence or the inability of the Chairperson to act as Chairperson.
