(1) A copy or scan of every EU ETD issued shall bestored by the passport officer and the passport officer shall send another copy or scan to the applicant’s Member State of nationality.

(2) The recipient of an EU ETD shall be asked to return theEU ETD, regardless of whether it has expired, upon arrival at the final destination.
