S.L. 549.68 Art. 7Applications for storage permits. S.L. 549.46

Applications to the competent authority for storage permits shall include at least the following information:

(a) the name and address of the potential operator;

(b) proof of the technical competence of the potential operator;

(c) the characterisation of the storage site and storage complex and an assessment of the expected security of the storage pursuant to regulation 4(2) and (3);

(d) the total quantity of CO to be injected and stored, as 2 well as the prospective sources and transport methods, the composition of CO streams, the injection rates 2 and pressures, and the location of injection facilities;

(e) a description of measures to prevent significant irregularities;

(f) a proposed monitoring plan pursuant to regulation 13(2);

(g) a proposed corrective measures plan pursuant to regulation 16(2);

(h) a proposed provisional post-closure plan pursuant to regulation17(3);

(i) the information provided pursuant to regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations;

(j) proof that the financial security or other equivalent provision as required under regulation 19 shall be valid and effective before the commencement of the injection.
