S.L. 549.5 Art. 2Containers for non-alcoholic beverages.

(1) The Minister for the Environment hereby indicates that the composition of containers for non-alcoholic beverages, which are not refillable glass containers, is harmful to the environment.

(2) For the purposes of this Notice -"non-alcoholic beverage" means any liquid or beverage which, either without or after dilution, is intended for the sale of refreshment drinks, and which does not contain more than two per of alcohol; such liquid or beverage shall not include any centum essence or syrup intended for the industrial production of soft drinks in refillable glass containers by licensed soft-drink bottlers, or any table water, spa water, electrolyte replacement drinks, milk, tea, coffee, cocoa, fruit juices, nectars, squashes or other such liquid or beverage as may be prescribed; and "refillable glass container" means any container made of glass which is intended to be recovered for refilling after use.
