S.L. 530.2 Art. 2Interpretation. Cap. 255.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Act" means the Civil Unions Act;

"civil union" means civil unions celebrated and registered in accordance with the Act;

"conversion" means the conversion of a civil union into marriage in accordance with article 11 of the Act and the provisions these regulations;

"Registrar" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Marriage Act and for the purposes of these regulations shall also include Diplomatic or Consular Representatives for Malta.
