S.L. 514.8 Art. 1Citation, scope and commencement.

(1) The title of these regulations is the Retirement

Pensions (Cross-Border Activities and Cross-Border Transfers) Regulations.

(2) The objective of these regulations is to implement Article 6 (in part) and Articles 11, 12, 14(3), 19(8), 33(1), 48(5), 48(6), 48(8)(d) and 59 of the Occupational Pensions Directive, and they shall be interpreted and applied accordingly.

(3) These regulations shall come into force on such date as the Minister responsible for the regulation of financial services may by notice in the Gazette establish, and different dates may be so established for different provisions of these regulations..
