S.L. 46.1 Art. 23Collection procedure in Consul’s inspection.

(1) The Consul shall not collect any articles during the course of an inspection unless accompanied by a witnessing officer.

(2) The witnessing officer referred to in sub-regulation (1) shall be any person authorised by the Consul for this purpose.

(3) Prior to collection of any items during an inspection, the Consul must compile Form C set out in the Sixth Schedule. Such a form shall be completed in duplicate and a copy thereof shall be handed over to the custodian of the collected articles at the locality of collection and the original form shall be retained by the Consul.
