(1) The title of these regulations is the Metrology

(Transposition of Article 6 of Directive 2011/17/EU) Regulations.

(2) The provisions of these regulations shall be without prejudice to the Calibration of Tanks of Inland Waterway Vessels and of Coasters (Revocation) Regulations, 2011, the Standard Mass of

Grain (Revocation) Regulations, 2011, the Cold Water Meter

(Revocation) Regulations, 2011, the Alcoholometers and Alcoholic

Hydrometers (Revocation) Regulations, 2011, the Tyre Pressure

Gauges (Revocation) Regulations, 2011, the Medium Accuracy Weights (Revocation) Regulations, 2011 and the Weights of Above-medium Accuracy (Revocation) Regulations, 2011 issued under and for the purposes of the Metrology Act.

(3) These regulations transpose the requirements of Article 6 of Directive 2011/17/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 repealing Council Directives 71/317/EEC, 71/347/EEC, 71/349/EEC, 74/148/EEC, 75/33/EEC, 76/765/EEC, 76/ 766/EEC and 86/217/EEC regarding metrology.
