S.L. 454.17 Art. 2Interpretation.

For the purposes of these regulations, ‘metrological control’ means all the administrative and technical actions intended to check measuring instruments and their metrological requirements for reasons of public interest, public health, public safety, public order, protection of the environment, protection of consumers, levying of taxes and duties, calculation of tariffs, fees, administrative penalties, conduct of expert assessments and establishment of basic guarantees for fair trade and all other actions which may be laid down in due form.
