S.L. 449.52 Art. 2Scope.

(1) These regulations implement the provisions of

Commission Directive 2006/141/EC of 22nd December, 2006 and Commission Directive 2013/26/EU of 8 February 2013 adapting certain directives in the field of food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy, by reason of the accession of Croatia; these regulations also implement the provisions of Commission Directive 2013/46/EU of 28 August 2013 amending Directive 2006/141 with regard to protein requirements for infant formulae and follow-on formulae.

(2) The provisions shall apply in such a way as to:

(a) permit trade in products complying with this regulation by the 1st January, 2008 at the latest,

(b) prohibit, with effect from 31st December, 2009 trade in products which do not comply with this regulation.
