S.L. 439.26 Art. 1Citation and scope.

(1) The title of these regulations is the Standards for

Operating Pet Sitting Accommodations and Pet Boarding Accommodation Establishments for Cats and Dogs Regulations.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to establish the minimum standards for the registration of pet sitting accommodations and for the licensing of pet boarding accommodation establishments for cats and dogs in Malta.

(3) Persons who are operating a pet sitting accommodation or a pet boarding accommodation establishment for cats and dogs before the coming into force of these regulations are being granted a transitional period of one (1) year from the coming into force of these regulations in order to fulfil their obligations in accordance with these regulations.
