(1) The title of these regulations is the Entry in Registers for Hybrid Breeding Pigs Regulations.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to implement the provisions found under European Union Commission Decision 89/ 505/EEC laying down the criteria governing entry in registers for hybrid breeding pigs, which in turn finds its legal basis under article 10(c) of European Union Council Directive 88/661/EEC.
