S.L. 437.50 Art. 28Measures in relation to hides and skins from animals of susceptible species in the protection zone.

(1) The competent authority shall ensure that the placing on the market of hides and skins of animals of susceptible species originating in the protection zone, shall be prohibited.

(2) By way of derogation, the prohibition as provided for in sub-rule (1) shall not apply to hides and skins which either:

(a) were produced at least twenty-one days before the estimated date of infection on the holding referred to in rule 10(1), and that have been stored separately from hides and skins produced after that date; or

(b) comply with the requirements laid down in point 2 in Part A of Schedule VII.
