S.L. 437.18 Art. 1Citation and scope.

(1) The title of these regulations is the Methods for the

Genetic Identification of Pure-bred Breeding Animals of the Bovine Species Regulations.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to implement the provisions found under European Commission Decision 2002/8/EC laying down the methods for the genetic identification of pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species and amending Decisions 88/ 124/EEC and 96/80/EC. This Decision finds its legal basis under European Union Council Directive 77/504/EEC, article 6(1) and European Union Council Directive 87/328/EEC, article 3.
