S.L. 427.40 Art. 19Formal objection to a harmonised standard.

(1) Where the Regulatory Affairs Directorate considers that a harmonised standard does not entirely satisfy the requirements which it covers and which are set out in regulation 9 and Schedule I, it shall bring the matter before the Committee set up by Article 5 of Directive 98/34/EC, giving its arguments.

(2) Where the Regulatory Affairs Directorate has a formal objection to the harmonised standards referred to in regulation 16(1) shall apply.
