(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as the

Type-Approval Committee.

(2) In matters relating exclusively to the responsibilities of the Committee in accordance with these regulations, the legal and judicial representation of the Committee shall vest in the Chairman heading the Committee.

(3) The Committee shall be composed as follows:

(a) the Chairman of the Committee, who shall be the member of the Board appointed in accordance with article

9(1)(b)(iii) of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs

Authority Act;

(b) the Chairman of the Malta Competition and

Consumer Affairs Authority appointed in accordance with article 9(1)(a) of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs

Authority Act; and

(c) the Director General (Technical Regulations)

appointed in accordance with article 19(2) of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority Act.

(4) Unless otherwise provided by these regulations or any other law, the Committee may regulate its own procedure.
