S.L. 426.4 Art. 3Purpose and application.

(1) The purpose of these regulations is to regulate the use of remote identification procedures by means of video-conferencing by qualified trust service providers, which procedures provide equivalent assurance in terms of reliability to physical presence as referred to in Article 24(1)(d) of the eIDAS Regulation. (2) These regulations shall only apply to qualified trust service providers authorised to provide qualified trust services in Malta as listed on the Malta Trusted List.
