S.L. 425.16 Art. 1Citation, scope and applicability.

(1) The title of these regulations is the Bluefin Tuna

Aquaculture Regulations.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to regulate bluefin tuna aquaculture activities, as well as those fisheries and commercialization activities related thereto as provided in these regulations, and to promote the sustainable operation of the bluefin tuna aquaculture industry with respect to the sustainability of the bluefin tuna fisheries, in compliance with European Union law and other binding international law obligations.

(3) Save as otherwise provided, the Director shall be responsible for all the purposes of these regulations.
