(1) The Director may, after consultation, authorise collective agreements permitting exceptions to the limits in sub-

regulations (1) and (2) of regulation 24, but shall have due regard for the general principles for the protection of the health and safety of the fishermen.

((2) In the absence of any collective agreement, or if the Director determines that the provisions in the agreement are inadequate, the Director shall determine such provisions to ensure the fishermen concerned have sufficient rest.
