S.L. 371.11 Art. 6Reporting to the competent authority.

(1) The competent authority may, for information or statistical purposes, for the determination of a significant branch in terms of Article 51(1) of the CRD, or for supervisory purposes in terms of Chapter 4 of the CRD, in accordance with the powers entrusted to the competent authority as host Member State, require a European credit institution which has established a branch in Malta in terms of these regulations, to report periodically on its activities in Malta. Such reports shall be subject to professional secrecy requirements.

(2) The competent authority may require a European credit institution having a branch in Malta to provide information in order to allow the competent authority to assess whether the branch is a significant branch in terms of Article 51(1) of the CRD.
