In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"alcoholic recipient" includes bottles, tins, cans, tumblers and/or any glass recipient intended to contain or serve (alcoholic) beverages;

"the Council" means the Ħamrun Local Council;

"locality" means Ħamrun as shown in the Second Schedule to the Act;

"mentioned spaces" covers those spaces mentioned by the competent authorities to occupy with tables and chairs to serve and consume food and beverages;

"public space" means streets, roads, pavements, squares, public gardens and parks that make part of the limits of Ħamrun.
